Origins
Harvey Dent (originally Harvey Kent) is a defence attorney & lawyer within Gotham City and after a tragic accident causing his face to be permanently scarred on one side, a member of Batman’s rogue gallery known as Twoface who deals ‘justice’ in deadly two-themed & chance orientated crimes. He makes his first ever appearance in Detective Comics Issues #66, #68, and #80 and Batman Annual #14.
For an all-together well rounded pick of stories for his character and origins, I recommend reading his anniversary book Twoface: A Celebration of 75 Years that includes a lot of ‘oneshot’ stories from his earlier debut that don’t necessarily fit into his storyline, but are still worth checking out!
Enjoy your reading!
Storyline
★ This comic may be sensitive for some readers, it contains a lot of homophobia and can be skipped without any effect on the timeline. Only thing important as a result of this comic is Twoface’s relationship with Renée Montoya.

I’ve included some comics that I personally don’t enjoy the writing or characterisation of, but they’re considered important by other fans in getting the whole picture of twoface, so I’ve left them in for you to form your own opinion! Please feel free to talk to me about any of the comics here, or twoface, at anytime over on twitter. And for some great twoface specific analysis & retrospectives, particularly his pre-52 character, please check out aboutfaces.
